The School of Health Sciences and Practice and Institute of Public Health at New York Medical College is located in the Hudson Valley, 25 miles from New York City, and shares a beautiful suburban campus with Westchester Medical Center. The school offers a on-campus and online Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Policy and Management and Environmental Health Science, and an on-campus MPH in Behavioral Science and Health Promotion and Epidemiology. Graduate certificates in global health, health education, emergency preparedness (online), industrial hygiene and others may be combined with an MPH.
Highlights
Many of the public health students are clinicians, administrators, analysts, and researchers. They work in hospitals, health departments, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, community agencies, and insurance companies. Among the faculty are local health department leaders, chief executives from leading health care institutions, and world-renowned researchers and experts in disaster preparedness and environmental safety.
For those students without public health experience, the practicum provides a structured public health work experience to them to enter the world of public health. The online programs have the same faculty, curriculum, admissions requirements, resources, as the on-campus programs.

Buildings & Resources
The School of Health Science and Practice building has the media-rich Center for Interactive Learning and state-of the art computer laboratory. Adjacent to the school is Westchester Medical Center, the number one trauma center for the region with a heliocopter pad, and the Medical Education building which houses the medical school library, bookstore, cafeteria, and large, modern, and naturally lighted anatomy laboratory. Students also have access to a wide range of health, wellness, and recreational resources located on the campus.
