Grad School OverviewGraduate School Overview
The graduate programs at Dakota State University (DSU) have several strong advantages over competing programs: all programs benefit from the technology infrastructure already in place on the campus; all programs are supported by a faculty and staff whose technology skills are extraordinarily high. DSU's graduate programs are available on-campus or via online/distance learning. They include Master of Science programs in Information Systems (MSIS), Information Assurance (MSIA), Health Informatics (MSHI), and Educational Technology (MSET), plus a Doctor of Science (DSc) in Information Systems.

General William Henry Harrison Beadle was a Civil War veteran, appointed as Surveyor-General in Dakota Territory by President U.S. Grant. He is credited with saving public lands for use by schools from speculators who were buying up most of the available land. General Beadle served as third President of Madison State Normal School. There are three statues of General Beadle in existence; one on the campus of DSU, one in the rotunda of the State Capitol in Pierre, and the third in Statuary Hall in Washington, D.C.
