CMU is a large university with a small town atmosphere. The recently expanded and redesigned, million-volume library, with a four-story atrium and hundreds of new computer stations, resides at the center of campus. Walks between classes rarely take more than ten minutes. Featuring early 20th century historical architecture and brand new, state-of-the-art buildings, CMU is a very comfortable and accommodating place to live and study.
